Since I was so busy making Christmas this year, my sewing machine needs repairs and cleaning. In fact, both of them do. So I didn't actually get everything finished that I had hoped. Still, I cranked out a lot of stuff this year.
Today I made more body butter and bath salts. I gave a bunch of all natural, organic luxury spa items to ladies this year for Christmas, with great responses.
Yesterday I made homemade laundry soap. Enough for nearly 400 loads. That should get us through the winter. I have several DIY recipes for cleaning supplies and everyday products we use all the time.
I'm going as natural as possible, in an effort to conserve money and improve our health.
My goals in life have become quite clear lately, which is startling. I had no idea how important these things were to me until recently. But I have become determined we will be debt free, with a healthy savings account and investments for our retirement.
I also like the idea of living in a tiny home, with the ability to live off grid comfortably and with minimum inconvenience. I've sketched several tiny house plans which are perfectly feasible for our later years. In fact, the plans are quite brilliant. We could comfortably live in these easily built dwellings.
I'd like to purchase at least a 10 acre parcel of land and build our tiny house on a full basement (storm shelter), with a barn and garden. Of course, I would have to get DH on board for this, which I haven't done yet. He's not inclined to move from this house.
