There seems to be a genuine exhaustion gripping the adults in the family today. Each of us is worn out. I haven't been motivated to do much of anything.
I started clearing out the dining area where I've been working on all the presents for Christmas. Some of which never reached completion. My sewing machine is not working properly and I have to take it in for a check-up. So the other puppets I wanted to make for A. aren't finished-which won't matter to him in the least. He opened the puppets, throwing them on the ground while searching for the "real" present in the huge bag. Once the bag was empty, he didn't even glance at the puppets.
He also didn't like the giant checkerboard and checkers I made for him, so we can practice sharing and taking turns. He said "No thank you."
Understandable when you think about all the cool toys he was getting. Like the huge Optimus Prime we gave him, or the big Darth Vader action figure we gave him, or his Darth Vader coscume (costume) which Mommy gave him and he LOVES!!! or the Bumblebee transformer that transforms into the car, or the remote controlled Lightening McQueen or the topsy turvy remote controlled tumbling car...
L. liked her presents too, but I think the favorite might be the tablet we gave her...Just a guess.
So my Dear Husband gave me the coolest things ever! A cordless drill and a rolling metal tool chest . This will be perfect for my miniature work. It's nearly the correct height for my work space and has lots of storage for my new collection of tools.
