Anthony is a YouTube addict. He loves the Klip Kitz videos and watches them all the time. He decided he would make some of his own...
These are the most precious things ever! He is a "master builder" with the legos and shows you what comes in the boxes, opens the plastic bags, displays the legos for you to see, puts them together and then plays with the finished toys.
But he gets distracted along the way and his eyes wander to the television in the other room, he gets really close to the camera, he repeats things with extreme closeups, etc. Absolutely adorable! It brought tears to my eyes watching this precious little boy doing these things, when for a long time we wondered if he would ever speak...
Autism is a challenge, there is no doubt about that. But there are so many wonderful moments thrown into the mix as well. We are often so overwhelmed with all the therapy, doctors visits, specialists and constant challenges we forget to enjoy the small, brilliant rays of sunshine that are there for all of us.
Our Anthony is coming along beautifully. While he many never be able to hold a job or live independently remain very real possibilities, the progress he has made gives us hope for a more independent future for him. He's our miracle child and we are forever thankful for his presence in our lives. He is such a blessing to our family, and a wonderful blessing to anyone who will take the time to get to know him.
To all who have been touched by this challenging condition, bless you. Your patience and love for those with this frustrating and unique disorder makes all the difference to the quality of life for those with Autism.
A brief prayer for all Autism parents, grandparents, siblings, and loved ones.
May the LORD God shower you with blessings as you go forward and face each new day with each new challenge. May He strengthen you, comfort you, encourage you. Providing the help you need when you need it, and giving you a place where you can vent your feelings freely without judgement or fear of condemnation.
May each day bring a brilliant ray of sunshine into your life so you remember that this wonderful child is a blessing in your life, a blessing given to you for a reason and purpose. In His Holy Name I pray. Amen.
