I've been working on miniatures for the last several months, perhaps longer. I'm not sure, really. Anyway, I enjoy making them and I enjoy the process of designing what I want to make.
For example, I have a small fry pan plan to have hold a small kitchen. I've made an artist studio which will sit on a paint pallet. I have two other paint objects I'm using as bases for other miniature vignettes.
As I mentioned earlier, I've been working on the Wizard of Oz for a long time. Several all nighters lately, in addition to the usual 16-18 hour days.
Sandi, a lovely lady who has been working tirelessly on our tickets and programs, was picking up paper products at Sam's club. She saw something there and said it had my name written all over it.
So she bought it for me as a lovely gift in appreciation for all the work I've been putting in here...
A Dremel!!!!
I've wanted one for ages, but since we're broke there's never a dime to spare. I am so excited about this I can't even tell you! This is loss for words excited!
I've read the directions over a couple of times, because I don't want to wreak it before I get to make cool stuff with it. Think of the great miniature stuff I'll be able to whip up with this. It has the greatest attachments, I can even get a tiny rotary circular saw to go with it!
Think of the fantastic furniture my doll houses will have. There's no stopping me now!
Thank you, Sandy! Your thoughtfulness and generosity is so very much appreciated. What a wonderful treasure you are to our theatre family, and I have been so blessed by your friendship. (I'm not speaking of the Dremel here, I mean by getting to know you. Your wisdom and insight are very much treasures in my mind.)
