Performed at the Red Barn for 63rd Street Productions tonight. It was a wonderful show. Everyone loves Micheal in the Saugatuck area. He's a local boy who did well...And he came back to do a show for us. To help us with our launch of the barn and our Wizard of Oz show.
It was a sell out, of course. We really could have sold Micheal out twice. And, of course, because this is the Wizard of Oz and the most bizarre show I've ever been involved with; something odd happened.
Lisa-the 2nd of the two witches cast for the role of the Wicked Witch-showed up drunk tonight for Micheal's show. She became even more belligerent than her usual self and had a screaming match with Tom. He called her a "drunken c**t" and told her not to come back tomorrow for the final show. (She's supposed to be the Wicked Witch tomorrow. I guess she choose tonight instead, on the steps in front of the theatre...) Meanwhile her poor husband stood there with his mouth hanging open while she slurred curse words at no one in particular...But at the top of her lungs.
Isn't show business glamorous?
