I wrote in a post earlier about my quest to make an art journal from a Dollar Tree composition notebook. I began by glueing two pages together, so instead of 100 pages the journal will have 50 pages. Then I started gesso-ing those pages to give them additional strength and "tooth" for my art work. (This journal is going to be my art technique journal, where I try out ideas and new techniques before I put them in my current journal.)
Let me tell you, this has taken me an excessively long time to do. I am a very fast painter. But with the gesso, I have to dry the pages after I prime them...Good grief!
