my restrictions. My arm does not feel great, but it bothers my mind much more to do nothing...
So today I totally screwed up two valances for my kitchen and mudroom windows. I did not use a pattern, as I didn't have one I liked, and I just started cutting. Then sewing. Then regretting. Now finished, but dissatisfied.
Perhaps after a bit of sleep I'll see things aren't as bad. Or are far worse. Who knows.
I am working on Rosina quite a bit, but I have no idea if these ideas will work or not. I have not actually seen the shadow screen and have not tried any of the ideas I have with it. I've been using a make shift one here at home and my sliding glass door for scale.
Fantastic news! My dad gave me several tools I'll be able to use to make my miniatures. They are fantastic and I can't wait to use them. He is very concerned I'll lose fingers, but I have assured both my parents I will be very careful. I hope to take a beginning wood working course to learn the basics of these tools and what they can do. I'm really thrilled to be able to build some of the patterns I have collected.
The good news is all the stuff I've made has come out as Halloween decorations so I just bought it from the dollar store...I won't have to paper mache' as much this way...
The bathroom continues to progress. I just put small glass tiles up above the counter top (which I have covered in brown craft paper and varnished). I purchased these tiles as samples for our doll dioramas, but we eventually decided to go in another direction for those.
I have completely lost my brand new seam ripper...
